So far it has been the picturesque thatched building, the friendly welcome and high standards at Sampsons Hotel and Restaurant in Newton Abbot which have attracted customers and guests.
But now Mr Bell and his wife Sarah intend to publicise their long-standing policy of sourcing local produce wherever possible.
Mr Bell said: "It's all about trying to support local people. The customers appreciate it, without a doubt.
"This year, we will market our commitment to local produce by stating on the menu where our ingredients are sourced."

The Bells have been running the establishment, in the 1450-built Devon longhouse, for more than 25 years. Their meat comes from prominent butcher Steve Turton, who can trace it back to the very field in which the animal grazed.
Sausages come from Poole Farm in Torbryan, fudges and jams are locally produced, and Sharphams products are included on the wine list. Westcountry Cheeses supplies an impressive range, fish comes from Brixham, and local dairy farms provide milk and butter. The Bells keep hens from which they collect eggs, and source vegetables from Dartmoor Provisions.
In supporting the WMN campaign, Mr Bell said: "It's getting more important for people to support local businesses. Small restaurant and hotel owners like myself are very much looking to support local companies wherever they can. The problem is that doing that is very expensive. It's a fine line.
